About & Methodology
Who we are
argentinianpeso.com is an independent reference site focused on one currency: the Argentine peso. We track the official and blue dollar rates, publish an interactive USD to ARS chart, answer the questions people most often ask about the peso, and link to reporting from established financial news outlets. We are not affiliated with any bank, exchange house, or money-transfer company.
Where our data comes from
- Live exchange rates (official, blue, MEP, CCL, crypto) are sourced from public exchange-rate data feeds and shown as mid-market reference figures — the midpoint between buy and sell prices.
- Historical rates in our chart come from public daily records of Argentina's official and blue dollar rates, going back to 2011.
- News headlines are aggregated from a curated whitelist of established publishers (such as Reuters, Bloomberg, the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, and the Buenos Aires Times) and link to the original articles. We do not copy or host article text.
How often it updates
Live rates refresh roughly every 10 minutes. Because the peso moves quickly and different providers quote different rates, treat every figure here as an indicative reference, not a transaction quote.
Not financial advice
Everything on this site is for general information only. It is not financial, investment, or currency-exchange advice, and rates shown may differ from what a bank or provider offers. Always confirm the current rate with your provider before exchanging or transferring money.
